The East Asian Medical Student’s Conference is an annual conference hosted by various cities around East Asia that aims to inspire the delegates to become active in the amelioration of global healthcare problems through networking with other medical students from the East Asian Region. In the recent decades it has expanded to involve delegates from from all AMSA members allowing the exchange of ideas,knowledge and cultural understanding.
On 28th Jan 2023, Makalu e Traders , the authorized distributor of Raeko & Nirvana as one of the sponsors for the event along with Wongchhu Peak Promotion had an opportunity to closely engage with the attendees , speakers & other sponsors allowing us to give them a quick insight about the company & its brands while also providing them interactive experiences & educational opportunities. The stall included the display of various trekking gears & products such as down jackets, caps/hats, goggles, sunscreen, boots, trekking pants and many other items from the brands Raeko & Nirvana . Additionally, the attendees were also spotted having their hands on buffs , books & altitude cards from Musa Masala during the event. The event took place from 8:00am-7:00pm in Park Village resort, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, and was an indeed a wonderful chance to create awareness about Nepalese brands & build network with people from all around Asia. Upon the visit to the stall, the attendees were also offered useful gift vouchers with 15% off on the purchase that could also be redeemed online which is valid for one year from the date of the event.
This was the second time Nepal hosted the event after 2018. The event had a participation of total 250 delegates from countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Nepal, South-Korea, China, Taiwan, Hongkong and many more. The event was scheduled from 27-31 Jan 2023. Thanks to EAMSC 2023, for the event indeed witnessed a true inclusion of diverse culture & proved to be an exceptional approach in inspiring the delegates to analyze global health more closely through various academic, sociocultural & community service activity.
