If your hands look like you’ve been working in a coal mine after a single belay session, it’s time to give your cord a bath with some Beal Rope Cleaner. This rope-friendly detergent won’t damage polyamide fibers nor will it leave a residue on the sheath.
One litre of non-aggressive detergent developed to clean *ropes and harnesses easily. Will not damage polyamides.
To wash a rope immerse in clean cool water (30 degreesC or less) and use the Beal Rope Cleaner and the Beal Rope Brush to gently cleanse from one end of the rope to the other.
Drying should be done in the shade away from direct sources of heat or sunlight, a warm windy cloudy day is ideal. Alternatively an airing cupboard or boiler room are suitable drying areas – ensure the rope is not in contact with the heat source.
